PADGILWAR group in it's long journey was started from sowing a small agriculture equipments workshop in farm at Tal-Digras, Dist. Yeotmal, Maharshtra, before 1960 by Late Shri. Balasaheb D. Padgilwar a farmer by profession, with his objective to help farmers and his interest and under his able guidance younger brother Late Shri.Narayan D.Padgilwar & his elder son Shri.Chandrashekhar Padgilwar sucessfully manufactured and introduced THRESHERS under Sherpa brand for first time in India, then came the SPRAYERS manual and power operated and so on... under the vision and able guidance of Shri. Chandrashekhar Padgilwar elder son of Late Shri. Balasaheb D. Padgilwar a manufacturing unit M/S. PADGILWAR AGRO INDUSTRIES, Nagpur was started, now this unit is one of the major suppliers of Govt. of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and various other states for ISI marked products.
The group with continuous research and innovations to make farming Hi-tech keeping in mind the economical condition of Indian Farmers has now ripen to a Hi-tech manufacturing unit with a vision to find solutions for Indian farmers facing problems of labour shortage and high wages of farm labour. In this line of action the group has now successfully introduced a MINI COTTON HARVESTER/PICKER ,MINI CROP CUTTER with modified attachment suitable for Indian Crop, with the use of these equipments Farming is now more lucrative, profitable and easier to a Indian farmer .
The firm PADGILWAR AGRO INDUSTRIES is run by technocrats, Managing Partner Mr. Chandrashekhar B. Padgilwar a Mech. Engineer from Manipal Institute of Technology and Mr. Tushar C. Padgilwar a Production Engg. from M.I.E.T. College. The technical background and practical knowledge has awarded Mr. C. B. Padgilwar with his nomination on various Central Govt. institutes such as CIAE-Bhopal, BIS-AFDC-43 & FAD-21 Committee, achieved Rashtriya Udyog Pratibha Puraskar and was honored as a member on 'Technical Education and Employment in State Apprenticeship Council' by Honorable Governor of Maharashtra, he was selected and invited by various Countries worldwide such as Israel, Italy, France as an Indian Delegate several times to attend Agriculture Exhibitions, he was also selected as an Indian delegate to participate in ISO meeting related to Crop Protection Equipment held in Sweden, he got a chance as an Indian Delegate to put his view on mechanization of agriculture in SAARC countries meet held in 2008, a scholarship was honored to attend the Agribusiness Seminar An Asian Offering by Harvard Business School, Boston, USA and recently he has been appointed as a Director on National Horticulture Board, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, with all his achievements, credentials in his name and a vision beyond, he is the back bone of the group and under his able guidance Mr. Tushar C. Padgilwar is looking after the innovations in Agriculture and future aspects of the group in this field.
